The questions people actually run into. If yours is not here, write to us — a real person reads it.
Do I need an account?
No, and you cannot create one yet. JobXentral works anonymously: your work is saved in your browser as you go. The trade-off is that it stays on this device and in this browser, and clearing your browsing data deletes it.
I lost my applications
Most likely the browser cleared its storage — private/incognito windows discard it when closed, and some browsers clear it aggressively for sites you visit rarely. We cannot restore it, because it was never on our servers. Until accounts exist, download your documents when you finish a step rather than relying on the browser to hold them.
Why does it say “Built-in draft” instead of “AI-generated”?
Because that particular result did not come from the AI. It happens when the AI is switched off, has hit its daily budget, is rate-limited, timed out, or returned something malformed. You still get a usable draft built from the posting — it is just written by rules rather than by a model, and we would rather label it than pretend.
How is the match figure calculated?
We pull the requirements out of the posting, then check each one against your résumé and mark it covered, partly covered, or not covered. The percentage is how much of the posting your résumé speaks to. It is a coaching aid to show you where the gaps are — not a prediction of whether you will be hired, and no employer sees it.
Can I edit what the AI writes?
Yes, all of it, and you should. Every generated block is labelled, editable, and can be reverted. Nothing is sent anywhere until you download it and apply yourself.
Does JobXentral apply to jobs for me?
No, deliberately. You download your résumé and cover letter and apply on the employer's own site. Automated mass-applying is against most job boards' terms and tends to produce exactly the generic applications that get ignored.
Why do I have to paste LinkedIn posts myself?
LinkedIn's terms forbid automating profile edits and posting, and breaking them risks your account, not ours. The planner gives you the ideas and the timing; you write the posts.
I hit a limit
The AI features are free and cost us money per use, so there is a per-visitor cap and a daily total. Both reset. When you hit one you get the non-AI version of the result rather than an error, labelled so you know which you are looking at.
Is my résumé used to train AI models?
Not by us. Your text is sent to a model provider to produce your result and comes back. What each provider does under their own terms is set out on the privacy page, along with where the models are currently hosted — worth reading before you upload a real résumé.
The sign-in page does not work
Correct — sign-in is not wired up yet. Those screens exist ahead of the accounts feature. Go straight to the app; nothing is gated.
